Experts in various topics of mental health are available to provide free presentations to community groups, schools, organizations, businesses, and any other type of gathering, big or small. Current available topics include: Suicide Prevention and Postvention, Understanding Anxiety, Coping with Loss, Understanding Mental Health, and Understanding the Teen Brain. Presentations can be adapted for different ages and target groups, and new topics are being regularly added.
Suicide prevention presentations include information about risk factors, warning signs, and how to have conversations about suicide, especially with our youth. Other suicide prevention resources include informational handouts and consultation with schools, organizations, businesses, and any other groups on building awareness and communication.
Following a suicide, resources and handouts can be provided as well as any format of conversation needed with those who have been impacted. At gatherings such as vigils, resources and supports can be present, including a network of mental health professionals who can provide on-site individual and small group discussions as needed. Such discussions are not therapy but provide critical opportunities for conversation and outlet of feelings during an emotionally overwhelming time.
